Subscription and Licensing
Open Settings > Subscription to view your current plan, activate a license key, or upgrade.
Plans
localWiki offers four tiers:

Local vault features always work on every plan. Paid plans add shared secrets, WAN sync outside your LAN, and teammate activation.
Plan status
The subscription panel shows your current tier, activation email, expiry date, and when the license was last fetched. A “current” badge marks the plan you are on.
Activating with a license key
If you have a license key (format: LKPRO-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX), paste it into the activation field and click activate. When activating a key, an optional email field appears to bind the activation record to your email address.
Legacy raw JWT activation is also supported for backward compatibility.
Purchasing in-app
To purchase directly from the app:
- Enter your email in the checkout email field.
- Click buy starter or buy team on the desired plan card.
- localWiki opens Paystack in your browser to complete payment.
- The app polls for payment confirmation automatically. Once verified, your plan activates and a confirmation modal appears.
If payment verification times out, you can paste the activation key you received by email into the activation field.
Teammate activation keys (Team plan)
After purchasing the Team plan, your account receives 5 teammate activation keys. The teammate activation tracker section shows:
- Each key prefix with its status (waiting or activated).
- The email of the teammate who redeemed each key.
- A copy button for each key prefix (for support or tracking).
Teammates activate by opening Settings > Subscription in their own localWiki app, pasting the full activation key they received, and clicking activate.
Deactivating
If you are on a paid plan, a deactivate button appears in the activation section. Deactivating reverts your device to the free tier. You can also manage your subscription billing through the manage subscription link, which opens the Paystack billing portal.
