Switching Workspaces
The workspace switcher lets you move between workspaces quickly. Its behavior adapts based on how many workspaces you have.
Workspace switcher dropdown
Click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar to open the switcher dropdown. It shows all your workspaces with their icons and accent colors.
Click any workspace to switch to it. The sidebar updates to show that workspace’s pages, and the view switches to the dashboard.
Search (5+ workspaces)
When you have five or more workspaces, a search field appears at the top of the switcher dropdown. Type to filter workspaces by name.
Search: prod
───────────────
production-api
prod-deploymentSearch is case-insensitive and matches anywhere in the workspace name.
Recent workspaces (20+ workspaces)
When you have twenty or more workspaces, the switcher adds a Recent section at the top of the dropdown showing the last 3 workspaces you accessed (excluding the currently active one). This saves you from scrolling or searching when you frequently switch between the same few workspaces.
Keyboard navigation
The switcher dropdown supports full keyboard navigation:
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
Up / Down | Move selection |
Enter | Switch to selected workspace |
Esc | Close the dropdown |
| Type any character | Jump to search field |
The last active workspace is remembered between app sessions. When you relaunch localWiki, it opens to the workspace you were using when you closed the app.
